As she investigates Danny's childhood of blackouts and lost time, she discovers her own husband, Simon, knew the victim intimately.

A photograph from that night has been circulating among corrupt police officers, used as leverage to keep her silent. 

 Now Caitlin must race to uncover the truth before the photograph destroys her career, her family, and her sanity. In a final confrontation on a hospital roof, she faces the man who has been pulling the strings for decades—and discovers the line between victim and perpetrator is thinner than anyone imagines.
